In light of the recent news that England is going into the third Lockdown as advised by the UK British Government, we can confirm that Ancol Pet Products will remain open and trading.

Here at Ancol we have been working hard throughout the year to continue to support the independent pet trade whilst ensuring a safe working environment for our staff and business partners. We are confident our factory and offices are safe working environments and, given the rise in cases and the new strain of the virus, we have increased safety measures accordingly.

We are proud to be able to continue to work with and for our customers, business partners, and the end customers, to continue to deliver a service of which we can be proud.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding throughout these difficult times.

Coronavirus Update

Monday 2nd November 2020

In light of the recent news that England is going into the second Lockdown as advised by the UK British Government, we can confirm that we are proposing to continue to work throughout the second lockdown.

“Vets and pet shops will not be forced to close, meaning owners will be able to access healthcare, food and other essential items for their pets as needed”

A national well known pet retailer has reported on the BBC News that pets have played an “increasingly vital role in our lives” during the crisis and went on to say “as designated essential retailers, pet shops and vets can stay open during the pandemic

Following the governments advice, we can confirm that Ancol is operating under strict Covid –Friendly rules as set out by the HSE. We must all work together to help reduce the stress that is going to be faced by the NHS and the support and protection of our staff is paramount in the fight to overcome the virus, but at the same time we acknowledge that safely working through this lockdown is both reasonable and responsible for the continued growth of the British economy.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding throughout these difficult times.

Coronavirus Update

Monday 1st June 2020

Following on from our last statement, we are pleased to report the gradual opening and near full operation of our facility.

Since lockdown has been gradually easing and our trade customers are increasing their sales effort, we have reacted, on a daily basis, by asking staff to return to work in response to the increasing order rate we have experienced.

As of today, we are very happy to report that over 90% of our staff are now back to work to help deal with our customers’ requirements. We have carried out an extensive risk assessment of our operations and along with the cooperation and input from our staff, we have implemented a safe working environment which everyone is happy with. We have also changed some of our working practices to allow safe working and these in turn have increased the efficiency of some processes therefore making a positive action on our business.

We are fully aware of the governments guidelines and the need to be aware and stay safe, as a responsible employer, the safety of our staff and the need to protect ourselves and the NHS are paramount.

We thank all of our customers and staff for their patience and support over the past few weeks, this unprecedented period has been very difficult to manage, and we are pleased to be getting back on track.

Coronavirus Update

Friday 27th April 2020

Dear valued customers,

We understand that our trade customers have some requirements for some of our more essential products. In order to satisfy this demand, we have organised a small select team to help process these trade orders.

In order to help process these orders, we can only accept orders that have been placed via our online ordering portal, the reason for this is due to reducing the amount of staff required to input and process these orders. The website is easy to use and has proven to be robust over the past 5 years since it’s launch. Please email sales@ancol.co.uk to obtain your login details, our sales support team are ready to process your requests.

We are obviously taking upmost care of our wonderful team, we are lucky enough to allow more than adequate social distancing and have suitable PPE to safeguard them.

We thank you all for working with us under these most difficult times and helping to support the NHS in every way possible to reduce the spread of the virus.

Coronavirus Update

Friday 17th April 2020

Following on from our initial statement dated 24th March and the most recent announcement made by the UK government on Thursday 16th April, Ancol Pet Products has decided that the only responsible action that any non-essential company should follow is to extend our temporary closure of all operational functions until further notice.

Following the governments advice, we must all work together to help reduce the stress that is being faced by the NHS. Staying at home and self distancing is the responsible thing to do. The support and protection of our staff is paramount in the fight to overcome the virus, we are sure that all partners in the supply chain would agree that this course of action is both reasonable and responsible.

Essential staff are working from home in accordance with our emergency action plan and rest assured, all enquiries will be answered and dealt with in the usual professional way. Our remote home-working system is quite robust and all of our key staff are ready to help and support our most valuable customers and suppliers alike.

We will be making a daily reassessment and communicate the situation on a weekly basis. We thank you for your support and understanding.
