- Ideal for removing knots and tangles from long, silky and curly coats
- Designed to help tackle stubborn knots and matted fur
- Integrated blades cut through knotted hair to help ease out tangles
- Rounded design helps protect your dog’s skin when used correctly
- Particularly useful for long-haired dogs prone to tangles and matting
Identify the knot or mat and gently separate the surrounding fur. Keeping the rounded side of the Ergo Knot Buster against your dog’s body, slowly pull the tool upwards through the coat, away from the skin. Gently work back and forth through the knotted hair, allowing the blades to cut through the tangle.
Always work slowly and carefully, ensuring the blades remain away from your dog’s skin. Do not pull forcefully or attempt to cut through severe mats close to the skin, as this may cause injury. Seek advice from a professional groomer if a mat cannot be safely removed.
For dogs that are new to grooming, introduce the brush slowly. Begin grooming sessions when your dog is relaxed and, where possible, after exercise. Keep sessions brief initially and gradually increase their length as your dog becomes comfortable with grooming. Offer plenty of reassurance throughout the session and pause or end grooming if your dog becomes agitated or shows signs of stress.
