Ensure your dog is calm and comfortable before grooming. Brush and comb the coat thoroughly to remove tangles and mats, ensuring the hair can be combed through easily. Carefully separate the hair you wish to trim from the main coat and cut small amounts at a time.
For dogs that are new to grooming, introduce the brush slowly. Begin grooming sessions when your dog is relaxed and, where possible, after exercise. Keep sessions brief initially and gradually increase their length as your dog becomes comfortable with grooming. Offer plenty of reassurance throughout the session and pause or end grooming if your dog becomes agitated or shows signs of stress.

These scissors have sharp blades and must be used with extreme caution. Take particular care when grooming around the eyes, ears, face and other sensitive areas, or when trimming close to the skin. Keep your dog still and comfortable throughout grooming, and stop if they become unsettled. Keep out of reach of children and store safely when not in use.
Care and Cleaning:
Remove any trapped hair after use and wipe the scissors clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Dry thoroughly before storing. Check the blades and handles regularly for signs of wear or damage, and discontinue use if any issues are found. Store in a clean, dry place away from children and pets.
